Dr. Ben Mishler has a passion for partnering with his patients in helping them achieve excellent health and well-being. He keeps himself educated on a wide array of dental procedures, so he can offer the care that is optimal for his patients’ dental needs and wants.
The most satisfying part of being a dentist for Dr. Mishler is the relationship he has with his patients. He is sensitive to the anxiety that often accompanies visits to the dentist. He is compassionate and gentle in taking care of people who have a fear of getting their dental work done. He is personable and non-judgmental.
Dr. Mishler lives in Anchorage with his wife and five children. He highly values time with his family. They enjoy living in Alaska and experiencing the amazing experiences and rich culture found here. His other interests include education, reading, mountain biking, hiking, camping, fishing, music, recreational sports, church and community service.
Dr. Mishler is a member of the American Dental Association, Alaska Dental Society and Anchorage Dental Society, American Academy of Clear Aligners, as well as Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Mishler also sponsors the Alaska Heart Run and Swing into Solstice Charity Golf Tournament.
Dr. Mishler’s Continuing Education and Specialized Training
Dr. Ben Mishler of Peak Health Dentistry is dedicated to providing his patients with the highest quality of care, and he recognizes that continuing education is essential to achieving this goal. As a result, Dr. Mishler has completed a range of advanced courses to stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies in the field of dentistry. One of his recent accomplishments is completing the IV sedation course, administered and sponsored by the Oregon Academy of General Dentistry (OAGD) and the Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU) School of Dentistry. This 115-hour course includes 69 hours of didactic education and 46 hours of clinical education, meeting or exceeding the American Dental Association's guidelines for the use of sedation and general anesthesia by dentists. Additionally, Dr. Mishler has completed courses at Western Surgical and Sedation, Pikos Institute, Russo Seminars, and DOCS in areas such as implant reconstruction, sinus grafting, bone and soft tissue grafting, and oral sedation dentistry.
