Dental Missions

At Peak Health Dentistry, we are committed to providing compassionate services to those in need, from across the globe. Our mission work allows us to give dental care to many who do not have access to it. It usually involves providing extractions, restorative work, oral hygiene and education.

Bringing dental health to impoverished communities around the world.

Philippines, 2015

Our 5th international dental mission was a success. We were able to provide care to a region of the Philippines that was in dire need. Many locals lined up daily and were grateful for our professional treatment. We were able to treat all individuals who came to our make-shift clinics. With the use of our skills, it is rewarding to help the communities abroad and look forward to many more trips.

Guyana, 2012

Our team provided dental care to those in desperate need, in various villages including Baramita (population 1,700) and Kariako. We landed in Guyana's capital city, Georgetown (population 240,000), on March 3rd and returned home safely on March 11th. Among the challenges we faced there, were helping residents to overcome their fear of dentistry and also bridging the cultural gap that made our female patients very shy of our male doctors.

Honduras, 2010

For our Honduras mission in August of 2010, we partnered with Mission Relief International and William Heagy, an oral surgeon also based in Anchorage. On this trip, we split into two different teams of providers over a period of two weeks. The first week’s team spent time in very remote villages that were, on average, five hours away from the nearest town. We traveled with guards and translators, working out of a country-run medical building and local schools.

Philippines, 2008

This mission was our first collaboration with Mission Relief International, out of Seattle.  We traveled to Manila and stayed for one week, working out of five different provinces within the city.  Each day was a different province. One day we were working on a school basketball court, another, we were in a school common area. The people were very easy to work with. They didn’t seem shy or have a high fear of dentistry.  Our driver (who accompanied us everywhere) and our translator assisted us.
